Ground Maintenance

Duty Rota
Match Preparation

Ground maintenance is one of those duties that no-one (or at least not many!) really want to be involved with but that has to be done if we want to play cricket! As one new committee member mentioned 'It's much easier just turning up at the pub on Sunday afternoon and then wandering over to play'. However, we have now drawn up a rota to share out the tasks evenly between the committee members and players. The allocated weekends are not carved in stone - they are there as a starting point for the teams to swap and change as they need.

I, Nev that is!, will be at the ground to ensure the club house is open. If there is an instance that i cannot attend, i will arrange for the assistant groundsman (My bitch!) to be there, or the keys will be at the Plough

If a game is cancelled for any reason, the team that were scheduled to do that match prep, will do the re-arranged fixture. I will update the website accordingly

If people have swapped and want this list updated then please email me the details here.

Each group will only be responsible for ensuring the equipment is put out prior to each game. There will be no need to do any pitch prep except when, in the week previous, bad weather has made it impossible to do so. A concise list of what is required is posted below. If anyone has any problems on the day and i am not there, please text or call on the mobile number i use for match availability.
